About Read to Rise
Program Overview
Read to Rise is a 10-week high dosage reading intervention pilot program that supports students in bridging or enriching literacy skills. Through small group, targeted intervention, Read to Rise aims to prove what’s possible when a system invests in direct solutions to improve our literacy rates.
Community Partners
We Excel is proud to be partnering with Save our Youth Kings and Queens and Fathers Uplift to bring this program to life. Both organizations offer safe and inclusive spaces for students in the highest-needs neighborhoods to participate in this intervention program.
Parent Engagement
From the onset of the program parents receive raw data from an literacy check-up that diagnoses the exact grade-level their child is on in reading. Throughout the program, parents are continuously engaged with weekly newsletters with strategies and tips to support at home, follow up from interventionists and coaching from We Excel staff.
